eid mubarak

this weekend was eid which marks the end of ramadan. it was a good month but i am looking forward to enjoying my morning cup of coffee ; )
we had a four day weekend which was very nice. we went over to the abu dhabi international film festival for the kick off party. it was a lot of fun to get all dressed up and stuff. of course what i have learned from the experience is that i can no longer have a red bull and coke at 11:30 at night and still expect to be able to fall asleep before 4am! luckly i could sleep in until 12 today to compensate but that's going to make getting up for work in the morning painful... yay for coffee!

on another note my dad has let me know that 60 minutes did an segment on dubai and it's kinda interesting. it has the segment in two parts on their site

i was saving up for my own island but then i heard that they don't have running water, sewage or electricity... you have to install it all yourself and i just thought that was completely un reasonable... if you buy an island electricity should be included ; ) but rumor has it the morgan freeman has one
