The Twirly Skirt is an adorable little pattern that's free on Ravelry. When I saw it I knew I had to knit it for my niece Frieda. I was even able to use stashed Cascade 220 left over from her Pinwheel Sweater.
Isn't it cute? I love the colors and I can't wait to see little Frieda twirling around in it.

Yarn - Cascade 220
Mods - I added a picot edging around the bottom just to add a little more girlieness to an already girly skirt. I also knit this in the round because why seam if there's a way to avoid it? The i-cord for the tie did get a bit boring but the effect is totally worth it. Over all LOVE LOVE LOVE! I just wish there was a pattern for this in my size

Has she tried it on yet? Did it fit her okay? Did she twirl?
it was a bit tight so we swapped the cord drawstring with ribbon and i think that will help... as for the twirling not much happened but she'll get there with practice i'm sure ; )
